In the last group stage matches in Champions League for group A through D, there have been some surprise exclusion in the round of 16.
From Group A, Manchester United and Basel qualify after their wins against CSKA Moscow and Benefica, respectively. Manchester United also topped the table with 15 points.
From Group B, Bayern Munich and Paris Saint Germain qualify. PSG succumbed to a 3-1 loss at Allianz Arena, but they qualify having garnered 15 points, and ahead of Bayern Munich with help of goal difference.
From Group C, Roma and Chelsea qualify, after Spanish giants, Athletico Madrid were held to a 1-1 draw at Stamford Bridge and move straight to Europa League, after failing to qualify to the round of 16.
From Group D, favourites Barcelona and Juventus sail through to the next round and will be hoping to challenge for the tittle from holders Real Madrid.
