England, France and Japan in top form

England had a great start to its FIFA U-17 campaign winning 4-0 against Chile. Chile had a bad day at defence with the Chilean back four in dissarray and was caught out of position several times. The nail in the coffin was Julio Borquez’s 79th minute red card. Jadon Sancho scored two for the Three Lions and Hudson-Odoi and Angel Gomes scoring one each.

In another match of the Group F, Iraq claimed its first points in the World Cup finals holding Mexico to a 1-1 draw.

In Group E, France was firing as they beat New Caledonia by 7-1 with the help of two own goals and forward Gouiri being a force infront of the goal netting two chances while, Gomes, Maxence and Isidor scoring one each. New Caledonia’s Wadenges got a consolation goal at the 90th minute.

Japan beat Honduras by 6-1 with a hattrick from Keito Nakamura in the first half sealing the deal.

India will be playing Colombia in a Group A match, and having lost the first match against USA, the Indian Colts will be eager to bounce back from the loss.
