US President Donald Trump’s spoke for the first time before the 193 member organisation on Tuesday. Trump boasted of America’s military strength.
Mr Trump also touched upon his recently announced Afghanistan policy, calling for driving terrorists “our of our nations”.
President Trump focussed largely on North Korea and Iran, and while he thanked China and Russia for supporting the efforts to deal with Pyongyang, he also indirectly criticised them when he said that any trade with North Korea was morally questionable. Trump has also threatened to rescind the nuclear deal with Iran.
Trump’s speech was greeted with periods of silence interspersed with polite applause.
